Make no mistake about it. Men are dressing up again, but not in the same old patterns and styles. There is a new era of mainstream changes in men's fashion. The chalk and pin stripes that you have been wearing for the last 15 or 20 years are quickly being replaced by the Vintage Look in Stripes. The era of elegance popular in the 1930's and 1940's has returned with a modern flair. The new look in vintage stripes have that undeniable air of distinction but are made of finer, lighter woolens than have ever before been available.
At R. W. FURR we can give you "the new look" of conservative styling in high-style fabrics.

At R. W. FURR CLOTHIERS both clothing and relationships stand the test of time.
I began my custom suit business in 1971. In March of that year I made a cold call at the offices of Bolanz and Miller Realtors. I was greeted by
W. C. "Dub" Miller. I began almost immediately to deliver my sales pitch. I wanted to sell Mr. Miller a suit. He was quite different from many of the prospects upon whom I had called that day; he listened respectfully... and seemed both interested and friendly. As I continued describing my services, he stood up very slowly and began to walk around the desk. I kept talking even though I thought he was about to show me the door. Instead he went to a bookcase and got two bolts of suit fabric. He asked me if I could make him a couple of suits.
That was one of the most memorable sales calls I've ever made. 'Could be that I learned more from Mr. Miller than he learned about suits that day. I was not surprised to discover that Mr. Miller and his sons were among the most respected and successful families in Dallas.
Recently I received a call from Mr. Miller's secretary. She scheduled an appointment for a fitting for Mr. Miller on some of his older suits. I was delighted, as always, to see Mr. Miller and astonished when I saw the dates inside of the breast pockets. Mr. Miller was still looking proud and polished in suits that I had made for him in the early 1970s. Of course I knew that quality lasts, but I had never before altered clothes from orders placed that long ago. It was good to see those old suits and quite affirming to see how well they still looked on Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller remains a loyal customer and more importantly a good friend. My respect and admiration for
W. C. "Dub" Miller will outlive even his suits.
